Isaiah 64-66

wolfpurplemoonA poignant plea from the people of Israel for God to not forget them even though they are covered in sin and didn't pray to him because he'd disappeared.
Well, isn't that nice of God: there are only a few people who've been disobeying so he won't destroy the whole nation just to punish those few.
God will stop the deaths of babies and living to 100 will be the norm, of course human medical advancements, improved health care, better nutrition and waste management couldn't possibly explain those things. Also, didn't the people in the earlier bible stories all live for 100s of years?
God is planning to send missionaries out to all the places that haven't heard of him - because while he seems to be able to communicate directly with Israel to convince them to worship him, he needs them to spread his message for him to everyone else.
Everyone who rebels against him will end up part of a massive pile of corpses, which is a lovely image to end Isaiah on...
