Jesus meets a man who was born blind and is asked whether he or his parents committed a sin that caused the blindness, which is a grotesque idea in itself, but then Jesus really tops anything the disciples were thinking. Jesus says that he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him, God needs to make random people suffer so he can prove how great he is?

Jesus has an argument with the Jewish leaders and they try to stone him and arrest him but he evades them and goes to hang out with some people who believe in him instead.
