Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed, Lot's wife is a pillar of salt and he beds his daughters.

* It is not really explained why the Lord would want to destroy the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the men seem very interested in 'knowing' the angels that visit Lot but I'm not sure that warrants ANOTHER over reaction from Mr Nice Guy.

* I'm sure I've heard the story of Lot's wife looking back and turning into salt told in a different way to how it is in the bible. The command to not look back is almost an off hand remark and then a few lines later she suddenly turns and is salt. Very strange.

* More icky incest as Lot's daughter just randomly decide that they need to preserve their father's seed so get him drunk and then each conceive sons.

* Abraham's wife Sarah finally has her son at the ripe age of 90 and gets jealous of the hand maid and her son again, so they send her away again. Oh and Abraham isn't actually lying when he tells people Sarah is his sister, they have the same father. I'm glad this book is so full of good proper family values and stuff...

Of course the knowing as been accounted as 'rape' rather than other aspect by some (in terms of 'knowing' the angels.

The thing is though it's statsictically impossible practically for two whole cities to only produce one family 'worth' saving I'm guessing here, though since I guess this god has different standards for that maybe if almost makes sens in his twisted view.

Considering the guy wanted to give his daughters up to them instead he wasn't exactly the most stand up guy but considering the daughters and what they did to their father they weren't exactly the best themselves.

And apparently, this family was the 'best' two whole cities could offer. In some way it could almost show that just because you're technically 'with god' doesn't necessarily make you good or even pleasent, but of course that wouldn't be what the author is trying to say themselves. Possibly. Though it would almost fit the chritian 'not perfect just saved' thing.

Still, in two whole cities I'm willing to bet there was SOMEONE who was nice to people themselves... but just simply did not worship the 'right' deity- I just don't find it very realistic otherwise.
