Proverbs 7-9
Aug. 22nd, 2010 07:18 pmMore warnings to men to not be seduced by the wiles of married women because when the women are lonely they'll throw themselves at any man that walks past. Yeah, I'm sure that no married man was ever the initiator in an adulterous act.
Wisdom tells us how great she is, and that seeking her is better than so many other things (I guess wisdom isn't a married woman then!)
Are women really one of the things that we need to be constantly warned about? Particularly foolish women (who probably aren't allowed or thought able to gain that wonderful wisdom we heard so much about). The writers of these verses were either women hating or women fearing, either way it's not a good and healthy view to be promoting.
