Hi Jeff, I appreciate your response. Are you a father? I can conceive of my kids going so wrong that I would want to take them out, so to speak. I, however, can see no circumstances under which I would want to torture them forever. Let's say I live to the ripe old age of 100. If I sin the entirety of my years, morning to night, how does eternal punishment become just? Wouldn't 100 years suffice? Understand, I'm not saying that God couldn't punish me forever, I'm saying a God that would is neither fair nor just. Furthermore, if the penalty for my sins is truly eternal punishment, then Jesus didn't really pay my penalty as I'm told He did. He's not still in Hell is he?
