I guess as there is no way that our conscious minds can live separate from our bodies, as our mind and thoughts are in the electric connections between the neurons in our brains, it seems to me that no matter how much you want to believe you will survive your death it's just not possible. So while you think you are being selfless by sharing your path to salvation, it seems sort of pointless. Better to make the one life we have as meaningful and enjoyable as possible.
