Deuteronomy 14-16

I hope all this isn't boring anyone still reading this as much as the actual bible reading is boring me!

Here we have more lists of unclean animals that should not be eaten, and more misclassifying of these animals. God made all the animals but he thinks hares chew the cud, good to know he paid attention to his creation. Oh and you can feed animals that dropped dead to strangers but can't eat them yourself.

A sensible thing that God commands is that Judges should not accept gifts that could bias their neutral position, good to know God is against bribes (except for the things he demands the people give up to him as part of his protection racket)

lol, thanks! I think it helps that the sections I have to read each day are relatively short so it's manageable, also the repetitiveness means it's easy to skim some parts.

I think it's safe to say that if the time you've spent in church hasn't changed your opinion on God, a bit of bible reading on top of that has no chance at all!

i know, right? there are a lot of atheists insisting that i read it, too, but that just feels stupid to me. i mean, i'm not going to lower myself to arguing about something i find useless--that'd be the exact opposite of every point i try to make with christians. *sigh*
