1 Kings 15-17

There are days when the just the thought of reading that day's bit of the bible gets me down. It's definitely not the highlight of my day, but I won't let it break me!
Apart from a king who has a son with his mother (who is then the next king), various kings managing to do worse acts than anyone in history to that point (quite a challenge!) and a child brought back to life after apparently dying from a sickness, there really isn't much else of note going on in these chapters.
There are these repeated verses that ask 'Now the rest of the acts of [king whoever], are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?' which make me think that someone didn't want to write out details of something that is going to be revisited later (if so, thankyou to that person!)
