1 Samuel 21-24
May. 10th, 2010 10:01 pmMore of David's attempts to escape Saul's attempts to kill him. This involves lying to a priest to gain food, shelter & a weapon (directly leading to the death of 85 priests when Saul catches up and takes offence at not being told where David had been) and hiding for a while with his 'good friend' Jonathan who finally reappears.
David then makes peace with Saul (after a small slaughter of invading Philistines) by sparing him when he could have easily killed him and asks that the favour be returned. Saul agrees that he was wrong to want David dead and goes home.

Just ask God if he is there and the words in this book are true to reveal himself to you in an incredible way. While looking at it also check out the historical accuracy to these scriptures. It will help you understand the context of the situation.
I truly hope Jesus finds you as He did me, trying to hide from Him in my bed, reading His word just to see if it was true; early June, 2002. If you have questions or even want to discuss what you are reading. Let me know.
