2 Chronicles 21-24
Jun. 23rd, 2010 07:11 pmJehoram became king and slew his brethren, God punishes him by giving him a bowel disease which kills him after two years.
Jehoram's son Ahab rules after his death, but Ahab is 2 years older than his father.
Ahab's mother Athaliah is a warrior queen, she destroys the people who kill Ahab and the rest of her family and then reigns over the land.
A group of priests plot against Athaliah and have her killed along with her followers. Another example of that divine tolerance that God's people are always inspired to show.
A seven year old king decides to fix God's house, and has a collection to fund the repairs, however he ends up killed in his bed because he ordered the stoning of a man who had the spirit of the lord come upon him.

An all-powerful God who wants for nothing isn't going to tolerate people who hate him, or people who profane his name. Even if he loves them. For God is nothing if not just.
