2 Chronicles 32-34
Jun. 26th, 2010 08:36 pmThe king of Assyria threatens the Israelites and declares that as none of the other people he'd vanquished had been saved by their gods, then their god won't save them either.
I think 32:19 is saying that all those other gods were made up by people, but then the God of this book shows he's not fake by killing the Assyrian army.
God continues his jealous abuse of his people, the next king throws all the rules out and does everything that's forbidden so God gets him captured by an enemy, he begs forgiveness, God relents and the guy puts everything back as God likes it (before his son then undoes it all again, we're stuck in that loop again).
