Just a quick observation: The Psalter in the old Book of Common Prayer named each psalm according to its first words, in Latin. This is the second called Dixit insipiens. Every lackwit apologist in history has jeered, "Atheists are fools! It says so in the Bible!"

It also tells me one more thing: there is no such thing as New Atheism. If the Psalms are as old as believed, the history of godlessness extends back at least three thousand years. Unbelievers may have kept their doubts in their hearts, since to do otherwise tended to give them the unique opportunity of being sacrificed to the very gods in which they did not believe, but we may be absolutely certain they existed.
