Another analogy that equates the people who follow God with sheep, I'm still not sure this is a good thing to be seen as. Also, it's a little odd, he is saying that there were some bad shepherds who didn't feed their sheep (yet, ate the meat and wore the wool, not sure how you get those things if you don't look after your sheep, but anyway) and now God is going to gather all the lost sheep/people and protect them. But if God is their shepherd then does that mean he's the one with the terrible sheep-herding skills?

God seems to be punishing one of Israel's enemies for killing them, but didn't God just send them after Israel?

God isn't rescuing his people from their enemies for their own good, he's concerned that they've all been bad mouthing him and setting a bad example to the people of other nations and he needs to protect his reputation by making everything liveable again and providing everything his people need.

I am a believer in Jesus but I'm having trouble putting my faith into him can anyone help me please I don't know what to do anymore I've tried to commit suicide and it didn't work please help me..

I'm concerned that you feel this is the best place to get help, your IP seems to place you in the UK, so I think you should try contacting the Samaritans http://www.samaritans.org/ as they are highly trained in helping people who feel unable to cope for any reason.

It does seem to me that if you feel suicidal because of your religion then perhaps that religion isn't the best thing for your well being, but either way I hope you manage to get help before it's too late.

I am thankful that you are seeking help. I can and will indeed pray for you, and I can answer some questions about Jesus and your faith. I strongly urge you to contact a local pastor or counselor depending on what you feel comfortable with.

I do not know the services offered in your community (I live in the United States), but if you'll tell me where you are, I can do some research on local people or places that may help. Certainly the Samaritans that wolfpurplemoon recommended are a good group to talk with, you can find other Christian links for suicide help at walking wounded.

Hi! This is just a word of encouragement and perseverance. I know right now things look and seem dark and also like there is no way out, but please DON'T give up on God! There's a song I like to sing sometimes during my trials, tests and tribulations it is called He's Able. The lyrics really speaks to me and also helps rebuild my faith..the lyrics are: 'God is able to do just what He said He will do, He's gonna fulfill every promise to u, don't give up on God cuz He won't give up on u...HE'S ABLE!!!!!' I know that right now it seems like there's no way out, but God does have a plan for ur life and u know how we know that, because if He didn't He wouldn't have saved u the first time around! Don't allow the adversary to tell u a whole bunch of things that aren't true. He's telling u that u cannot trust God, that He's not with u, that He doesn't care for u, that is exactly when u need to let him know that he is a LIAR and that he won't win!!! God does LOVE u, He does care, He WILL take u safely and victoriously through ur situation and He's right beside u through it ALL while holding ur hand. Please I encourage u to push ur through in Christ. God is hearing ur cry, He's protecting u, He really is and LOVES soo dearly!

DON'T give up on God, cuz He WON'T give up on YOU...HE IS ABLE!!!!
