Oh yay, we haven't had a good how to build a temple chapter in a while, with all its detailed measurements and furnishing instructions.

It can be tedious reading the specifications for the re-established temple in Jerusalem for when the Israelites return, however it should be noted that this temple is huge. It is too large for the temple mount in Jerusalem (the structure describe has a wall that encompasses a 500 cubit X 500 cubit square, about 250 x 250 yards (approximately 4 American football fields wide and two long). It has never been built. Christians believe that this description is of a temple that will be built after the second coming of Jesus when apocalyptic events will result in a major restructuring of the city of Jerusalem.

I was reading through the tedious specifications when it hit me that not only did God give specifications for the temple itself but also for the courts and gateways, making me realizes He also cares about our preparing to enter His presence.
