Daniel 10-12

Daniel sees a vision of an angel while he's awake and with some other men, who don't see the vision but run and hide for some reason. The angel tells him about a king that will rise and will do whatever he wants, there's a lot of detail about alliances with some kings and destroying others, apparently bringing about the end of the world, but Daniel's people will be fine.

Daniel has a vision while standing besides the Tigris River. He sees an angel who says that he has been trying to reach Daniel for a while, but was opposed by another angel (of Persia) until a stronger angel (Michael) removed the obstruction. The angel will have to deliver his message to Daniel, and then fight the angel of Persia and then Greece with only Michael on his side.

The angel delivers a message about several kingdoms that will rise and fall including a great king who will oppose God.

Michael will arise and fight. The dead will rise and either be granted everlasting life or shame and contempt. We don't know the exact time of the end times (the time measure was ambiguous). There will be a period of about 3 1/2 years between the time that the "abomination that causes desolation" is set up in the temple and the end of the reign of the wicked. Anyone who survives through for an additional 145 days will be blessed (saved).

More apocalyptic literature, but some insight is given, once again, into the last days. These prophecies tie in with Revelation in the New Testament.
