John and Peter are arrested for their what they've been claiming about Jesus, but their popularity amongst the people meant that they couldn't be punished so they are released.

The group of believers are a truly communist bunch, everything they own is owned by the group and no single person.

A man and his wife die after lying about how much money they'd got for selling their property, they kept part of the proceeds for themselves. This terrifies all the followers.

All the apostles are arrested again because they are so popular the high priest gets jealous, but an angel opens the prison doors for them and sets them free. They are told to stop teaching in the name of Jesus but this just makes them happy (they like being persecuted) and they carry on anyway.

Yes I agree with this statement. However this seems to be the ideal community approach as opposed to the military communist regimes. Also it can be noted that in the chapter that the man and wife die, it is pointed out that it is primarily peoples choice to do this and it is not forced in any way. Freedom of choice is the key to positive community.
