Detailed instructions for carrying out animal sacrifice. I am wondering if it is these verses that are used to justify ritualistic slaughter of animals for meat, because if so then that is totally wrong as the animals being slaughtered in the bible are supposed to be 'for the sweet savour of the Lord' (he gets very hungry). Only wondering, can't really be bothered to investigate!

Take a second look at Genesis 3:21. This was the first animal sacrifice. WHY did God do this for Adam & Eve? The answer may reveal the truth about why God requires animal sacrifice. This part of Leviticus finds it's spiritual basis in Genesis 3:21.
