Titus-Philemon
Jan. 24th, 2011 09:29 pmIt sounds like Titus has his work cut out with the people of Crete, they are known as liars, evil beast and lazy gluttons, and apparently this ugly stereotype is true. So he's got to teach them with authority and by being a good example.
Philemon is being sent back a slave called Onesimus who ran to Paul and converted. Paul says to treat him as a brother now he's converted.

I'll pay whatever you think is right, but don't forget you owe me everything!
The next line is one of the reasons the Authorized King James Version isn't used in children's Bible study much anymore. Imagine having to quiet the class down after this howler:
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
