The people are starting to observe the feasts and rites they've been told to follow since Moses, doesn't stop the king being killed in battle though.

And finally we get back to the same point that Kings ended on, with God's people enslaved by Babylonians because God had had enough of them not worshipping him properly.

God and Israel had a contract: Israel worships God, and God blesses Israel. Israelites fail to worship God, then it sucks to be Israel. This sounds like your basic pagan set up...except for two things. 1) It takes a heck of a lot more to tick God off. I mean, how many kings did they go through, from Saul to Zedekiah(or whatever that last king's name was)? That's several generations, the majority of which did whatever they could to ticks God off at every opportunity. 2) After Israel failed completely in fulfilling their end of the contract, God fulfilled his end of the contract, and then wrote in a loophole. That loophole you'll get to in the New Testament, and my people call it the New Covenant(contract, covenant, same thing). Generic, low-intellect Christians usually just call it "Jesus" but that's an incredible oversimplification.
