Isaiah 59-63
Sep. 17th, 2010 03:08 pm59 seems to be saying that obedience to God is the opposite of immorality, or that you are either godly or evil. The world is not that black and white.
God promises to be the only light Israel needs, a permanent light that replaces the sun and moon and promises they will possess their land forever.
The whole world will see how great life is in Israel and realise they were right about which God to worship. But they need to keep praying to him so he doesn't rest until he's made Jerusalem a great place to live, he obviously has no no self motivation.
God likens the slaughter of nations to stomping grapes in a vat, I guess if you made the whole universe then the people would seem as insignificant as grapes to you.
