Ezekiel ends with a bit of a fizzle, very anti-climatic after all that fire and brimstone stuff earlier. God describes how to divide up the land and some final instructions about temple rituals.
More religious observances are presented. Ezekiel describes a river flowing from the Temple that will nourish fruit trees that won't wither and will produce food and leaves that can heal wounds all year long. The river will also turn the Dead Sea into fresh water. Animals and fish will be plentiful from this river.
Israel will once again have the land for its inheritance just as promised to Abraham.
Just came across your bible journal tonight. I looked at your profile. It is intriguing to hear what you have to say just reading through the bible without a "churched" background. I like that your attempting with your reading not to be a scholar, but genuine! I hope too the Bible surprises you.
