God gives instructions for making various things and people clean, mostly involving sacrificing birds and lambs.
* Apparently houses can get leprosy and must be cleansed in the same way as a man who had leprosy. Involving the cruellest type of animal sacrifice yet devised, killing a bird and then dipping a live bird in its blood, what? All the good advice from the previous leprosy chapter has been completely negated as the 'cure' just involves dead animals, oil and blood.
* Now God wants his people to atone for normal bodily functions, namely different types of 'issues from the flesh' (ejaculation and menstruation respectively). Atonement requires being isolated for at least a week after the shameful issuing followed by more animal sacrificing, and don't go touching anything after the unclean person does or you'll be required to atone yourself. This chapter is just the sort of bible wisdom that helps children become comfortable with their bodies and grow up to be well rounded adults.
